Nancy Scott

Interior Designer and Sewing Instructor
Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, Nancy has an unprecedented passion for tactile design.
The former "Singer Miss Teen," she began
sewing her own figure skating costumes at the age of 15. With over three decades of
experience in the field, she has worked in the
industrial wholesale market for Universal
Sewing Supply, a member of the American
Sewing Guild for 20 years, as well as
professional experience with Singer, Bernina, and Baby Lock. In 1995, Nancy opened
Seams So Easy Sewing Classes as a way to bring the practical skill and creative
passion of sewing to people of all ages. She has directed after school sewing classes
at Parkway Middle schools and for Girl Scout troops across the St. Louis County area.
In 2013, Nancy joined the team at The Fabric Company putting all her training and
inspiration to work in order to create sophisticated interior designs for her clients.
Today, she enjoys teaching private classes and bridal alterations in partnership with
the City Sewing Room located in St. Louis, MO.
